Henry Jaffe
Chief Executive Officer
Henry Jaffe is a technology executive and entrepreneur with over 25 years of global experience. As a co-founder of successful startups, he’s passionate about building and helping early-stage teams reach their growth potential. Henry co-founded Digital Fairway, a pioneering services automation firm, and CodeExcellence, a software (SaaS) intelligence platform. He played a founding role with PMC Sierra semiconductors and held senior corporate, marketing and sales positions in large companies such as Newbridge.
A visionary and leader, he has launched numerous innovative initiatives. In the areas of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) and the Internet of Things, he introduced vital services, such as sea ice navigation, coastal surveillance, emergency response, critical infrastructure and environmental monitoring. As a strategic consultant with broad project experience, he helped lead the development of national strategies for Critical Infrastructure Protection and Federal Sustainable Development. Earlier in his career, he led advanced Global Strategies for the global deployment of broadband communications.
Henry holds a B.Sc. in Engineering from the University of Calgary, Calgary, Canada.

Dr. Stephen Eisenhawer
Chief Scientist
Dr. Stephen Eisenhawer is the Chief Scientist at Periculum Labs. He is well known as an expert in the application of advanced systems and risk analysis methods for the development of complex technologies. Stephen was a lead analyst and managed risk assessment projects for the U.S. Departments of Energy and Homeland Security, and the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA).
The NASA projects focused on the analysis of risks to the Air Transportation System (ATS) from terrorist attacks, system and risk analysis of advanced technologies for the Next Generation ATS, including Airborne Merging and Spacing, the Intelligent Integrated Flight Deck, and System-Oriented Runway Management. He was the Principal Investigator for the multi-year UAS Portfolio Analysis Tool (UPAT) effort for NASA’s UAS in the NAS project.
Dr. Eisenhawer co-developed the Logic Evolved Decision (LED) analysis methodology, a core technology of the firm, while at the Los Alamos National Laboratory. He also developed the LETOOLS software suite. He holds two U.S. patents and co-authored more than 50 journals, symposium and conference papers.

Michael Hoodspith,
VP Business Development and Partnerships
Michael Hoodspith has over 25 years of experience in strategic sales, marketing, business development and operations in international UAV and air navigation markets. He is an expert in UAS/RPAS airspace integration and small UAS (sUAS) low altitude ecosystem management systems.
As Mike’s aviation industry career has progressed, he’s assumed roles of greater responsibility including Chief Operating Officer and Vice President of Strategy & Operations. As Director, Strategy & Advanced Programs for IDS, a drone manufacturer for civil and commercial use, he led strategic business growth initiatives in the Air Traffic Management airspace for manned and unmanned vehicles. Earlier, he worked at Honeywell for over a decade, holding various senior business development and sales positions in the satellite navigation, airport operations, and communications system business units.
Mike holds a Master’s Degree in Management from the Macquarie University Graduate School of Business, Sydney, Australia.

Dr. Terry F. Bot
Analyst
Terry Bott has focused his professional life on risk analysis and methodology development, since 1983. He currently works with Periculum and Logic Evolved Technologies (LEtech), where he develops systems analysis methods for advanced applications.
As head of the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission Vital Areas project at Los Alamos National Laboratory, Terry worked on probabilistic risk assessments, from nuclear material production reactors to critical infrastructure, achieving many significant advances. Pantex Plant, LANL and the U.S. Department of Defense have employed his expertise to resolve nuclear weapons safety initiatives. He recently participated in a NASA Research Agreement titled Portfolio Analysis Tool for UAS NAS Integration, developing a tool called UPAT. It evaluates research portfolios to determine how to best support the integration of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAS) into the National Aviation Services. His research has extended to other important technologies developed for UAS NAS integration.
Terry has collaborated with Dr. Stephen Eisenhawer on the Logic-Evolved Decision (LED) method to resolve numerous problems in information and physical security, systems safety, counter-terrorism, complex system performance, and system design. He holds a Ph.D. in Chemical/Nuclear Engineering from Brigham Young University.

Pierre M. Brault
Corporate and Project Development
Pierre M. Brault has over 20 years of comprehensive experience in corporate and project development, financial analysis, operations, strategic planning, and mergers and acquisitions. With a reputation for innovation and value-creation, he has worked with all sizes of companies, locally and internationally.
Pierre served as CFO and COO for Earth Alive Clean Technologies, a developer and manufacturer of state-of-the-art microbial products. He initiated and designed operational review management tools, and reviewed and improved commercial contracts, contributing to Earth Alive’s profile and success. As VP and CFO of Orange Biofuels, a renewable energy project company, he developed deal structures, prepared successful business plans, and negotiated equity shareholdings. Earlier, Pierre helped advance research and forge global industrial partnerships for companies including the Institute for Research in Immunization and Cancer (IRIC). As Director of Corporate Development for Fujitsu Consulting, Pierre assisted and advised the North American and European divisions on acquisition and investment opportunities.
Pierre holds professional designations of both chartered financial analyst (CFA Institute in Virginia (M.B.A.) and lawyer (McGill University, Montreal).

David Domoney S/Sgt (Ret)
VP Security Solutions
As Staff Sergeant, David Domoney was instrumental in creating, advancing and leading the Remotely Piloted Aircraft Program (RPAS) for the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP). Since starting the RPAS Program in 2010, he has coordinated the largest fleet of civil RPAS of any policing organization in the world. David led extensive research and development to advance the application of drones in crash scene investigation, drone countermeasures, data analysis, public safety and emergency response. He continues to advise agencies and UAS/RPAS fleet operators.
David recently conducted an extensive countermeasures program to test and evaluate RPAS countermeasures systems. His work with Transport Canada led to the RCMP’s obtaining the first National Special Flight Operations Certificate (SFOC) to conduct operations anywhere in the country. A pilot project for extended line of sight operations was included. He has tested and flown many RPAS across North America.
He has delivered keynote speeches at Unmanned Systems Canada conferences around the world. Recently, David testified at a Parliamentary Standing Committee on Transport, Infrastructure and Communities.

Howard Hecht
VP Research
Howard is Managing Director of IndustryLabs, Ltd, an Ontario business development collective, based in Toronto. He has extensive global experience in technical trend analysis (networking, semiconductors, medtech and dynamic adaptive construction), as well as digital content creation/licensing and launch development strategies.
Previously, he was the founder and CEO of the networking silicon research firm, Fearless Group, and he founded critically acclaimed indie music label, Unschooled Records. He has held Senior Executive positions at GlobeSpan/Virata Semiconductor, Paradyne Corp, and Newbridge Networks, including senior analyst/consultant posts at Gartner and PriceWaterhouseCoopers. His participation has been significant in a variety of successful startups, turnarounds, acquisitions, and initial public offerings (IPOs).
Howard currently serves as an Advisor to eSight Eyewear and Samadhi Capital Partners, as well as previously advising TPG Capital in their entry into technology acquisitions. An internationally known speaker, he has addressed audiences in over 40 countries on a wide range of subjects, including technology, adaptive design, and culinary trends.
Howard’s earned his Bachelor of Science from the McClure School of Information and Telecommunications Systems at Ohio University.

Markus Scherer
Advisor to the Board of Directors
Markus Scherer is a Consulting Director for Ipsos Business Consulting and is responsible for leading the practice in Hong Kong. Markus has been leading the practice in Hong Kong for the past five years. Prior to working in Hong Kong Markus was based in Shanghai, where he lived and worked for 10 years.
Markus advises his clients on growth strategy including both organic growth and expansion strategies, mergers and acquisitions, and also provides Industry Consultant services for companies planning their initial public offering (IPO) in Hong Kong.
Typical organic growth strategy engagements include market and competitor analysis, full market entry strategy development, segmentation and targeting strategies, industry benchmarking analysis and best practices development across Asia Pacific.
Markus has spearheaded the development of the Drone Centre of Excellence within Ipsos Business Consulting, following the adoption of drone technologies across different segments in Asia. The initial focus has been within the agriculture segment where the adoption of agriculture drones, especially in China has increased significantly over the past three years.
Over the past years Markus has authored many thought leadership papers covering the automotive industry and recently also for agriculture drones. He also speaks frequently on various topics at industry invents.
Markus holds a ‘Diplom Volkswirt’ (Masters degree in Economics) from Albert Ludwigs University in Freiburg, Germany. Markus is multilingual; he speaks and writes fluent English, German and Chinese Mandarin.

Dr. Karen Coe

Karen Coe is a talent management executive and entrepreneur with over 25 years of global experience. As a proven executive search business partner, business builder and human resource/human capital specialist she is passionate about aligning top talent who ‘fit’ the unique demands of high growth early stage companies.
Karen Coe’s track record demonstrates an impressive range of senior assignments across diverse sectors and client cultures.
Over the course of her career she has worked for major corporations, a national consulting firm as well as global and local search firms. Karen created and sold her search firm to a NYSE world-wide search firm (TMP). She served as Managing Partner (Western Canada) for TMP World Wide Executive Search firm. Karen’s exceptional strength in business development, marketing and innovative growth strategies secured her search reputation in a highly competitive market. She has worked with tier one private and TSE –listed companies as well as significant public sector organizations. Karen holds a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from the University of Calgary, Calgary, Alberta and advanced training in applied neuroscience (BCN) for optimal performance applications.
Karen has co-authored research papers in the field of cognitive processing. She has delivered key note speeches, as well as presented at numerous conferences on talent management strategies. Dr. Coe is a registered Clinical Psychologist in both Alberta and Ontario.

Chris May
Digital Media Strategist
Chris is an expert technologist, analyst and consultant. For more than twenty-five years he has operated small- to medium-sized technology businesses. As a consultant he has also developed business and media strategies, management plans and provided business analysis services. His project successes include development of service processes and systems and guiding more complex international projects with complete digital strategies.
Chris’ business experience and technological know-how is backed up by education. He holds an Electronic Engineering Technologist Master’s degree and an Advanced Social Media Strategist Certificate from Hootsuite and Syracuse University. Chris was formerly a trainer with the Canadian Professional Sales Association for some time and has also held Project Management Professional Certifications among others during his careeer.
